tcworld delivers knowledge and certification to Japan and Korea

Two organizations have recently become partners of TCTrainNet, tcworld’s international training and certification program for technical communication. The Japan Technical Communicators Association (JTCA) has become an official Distribution- and Certification Partner for Japan and Korea while hansemEUG is the new official Training Partner in Korea.

The agreements will bring a formal certification program to the technical communication communities of Japan and Korea, filling a gap in the sector.

“Japan and Korea are both technologically advanced manufacturing countries, which export a lot. However, the profession of the Technical Communicator is still not well defined and there are no online training courses such as TCTrainNet in neither the Japanese nor the Korean market,” explains Sofia Gamisonia, Project and Business Development Manager at tcworld GmbH.

With the TCTrainNet program, tcworld strives to deliver knowledge and certification to the two Asian countries. The certification program is based on tekom’s long-standing German certification program and has been developed in collaboration with a network of international experts in the field of technical communication and information development.

“We expect a high demand for our program in both countries, but we also realize that it will require time and thorough communication in order to gain awareness,” comments Gamisonia.

Kim Yangsook, CEO of HansemEUG in Korea adds: "Korean technical writers need to experience a TC educational program, so that they can produce English documents of high quality. Considering this, the TCTrainNet program seemed very interesting and attractive to us. We at Hansem are proud and excited that we have become a training partner and thus will be able to guide technical writers in Korea and equip them with professional TC knowledge and techniques."
