This is not particularly difficult for us as we have been working on the digitalization of our interactions and communications for many years.
For the time being, all events, such as the ones of country and regional groups, committee meetings, advisory boards and working groups, will be held exclusively in virtual environments. We will use online conferencing tools such as GoToMeeting and GoToWebniar as well as our web applications for these purposes. tekom certification exams will also be conducted via a virtual examination platform.
But we won't stop there: Soon it will be possible to acquire tekom membership in an entirely web-based process. The next milestone is a web shop for our publications and other products. This is already in the pipeline, and so is a meetup platform that will allow tekom members and interested parties to join and meet in virtual or regional groups.
Of course, analogue is the new digital, and we are very much looking forward to the times, when we get to see our treasured colleagues from the industry again face to face – at the latest in early November at the tekom and tcworld annual conference.
