Phrase, developer of AI-led language technology, and Welocalize, a proider of AI-enabled translation and multilingual content solutions, have announced a strategic partnership to embed Welocalize’s OPAL products natively within the Phrase Platform. A central element of the collaboration is the integration of agentic AI systems. These give customers more customizable and autonomous solutions, adaptable workflows, fast multilingual content creation and delivery, and the ability to scale without added complexity.

Welocalize’s OPAL Platform is a patented agentic system, which is trained for an individual enterprise and includes machine translation and LLMs to translate, assess quality, and auto-edit multilingual content. This approach enables OPAL to produce very high-quality multilingual content and dramatically increases the speed and efficiency of delivery. It has received numerous awards and has been tested in production with several clients in the past year. It comprises two products: OPAL Enable, which involves linguist-in-the-loop, and OPAL Automate, which allows straight through processing of multilingual content.

The solution will be rolled out to enterprises in phases. In the first phase, the solution will be delivered with Welocalize as the provider of linguist-in-the-loop services. In the second phase, enterprises will have full control and choice of their servicing partner.
This integration marks the first in a series of ecosystem partnerships for Phrase and Welocalize. By uniting advanced AI with an open, flexible approach, the partnership gives enterprises the tools to engage audiences worldwide, accelerate growth, and achieve higher-quality.
