Before going into detail, it is important to understand the geographical area we are talking about. In my article I will speak about Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark, which together with Island form the Nordic countries. The term Scandinavia includes only Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Island. Finland is a Nordic country, however, not a Scandinavian one.
