What does the year 2026 hold for technical communication? Will AI replace tech writers? Or will it help them bring content to the next level? We have asked the experts in our community to share their predictions. Here is what Rahel Anne Bailie had to say:

Companies are starting to realise that it’s not enough to think only about accuracy when delivering content at scale. To be effective in environments where content is searched by AI before it is delivered by a search engine or where content has to meet the needs of users across many products and product variants, in many markets, in many languages, accuracy is only a small part of the equation.

The production and delivery of content is becoming more complex, which brings in the concept of content integrity. This model looks at the properties of content through four interconnected lenses – strategic, editorial, operational, and infrastructure – which allow for content to have the kinesis to respond to increasingly volatile business needs.
